REQUIREMENT
The car parts and accessories retailer needed to audit all of the stock items inside the distribution center, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Audit all stock items within the distribution center
- Complete within a timeline of three days
- Electronic overstock comparison and variance reporting required
SOLUTION
The car parts and accessories retailer partnered with RGIS to complete the operational audit and inventory project and provided the following:
- Identified all overstock locations as requested
- Scheduled 190 experienced RGIS auditors over three days
- Reports were available in real-time on tablets
- Random accuracy verifications were completed by the customer during the count
RESULTS
The car parts and accessories retailer found that by outsourcing the operational audit and inventory project to RGIS to complete, the following was achieved:
- A total of 7,000,000 inventory items were accurately counted
- 21,000 different item types
- From the reporting received, the customer was able to evaluate the performance of the Logistics Operator
